Rookie Blue is a police procedural Canadian drama series which stars Gregory Smith and Missy Peregrym. Created by Tassie Cameron, Ellen Vanstone and Morwyn Brebner, the show was initially titled as “Copper”. The series premiered on June 24, 2010 aired simultaneously all over Canada and in United States through ABC.
The Canadian series revolves around the story of five rookie cops who are fresh graduates out of the Academy. Their story on how they cope up with the real police life is what this show is all about. Aside from that, their personal struggles as well are shown. They have to deal with expectations from parents and friends. Everyday different problems arise, from work to family and friends. Critics describe Rookie Blue as the “Grey’s Anatomy” counterpart in the rookie cop world.
Rookie Blue stars the Missy Peregrym, Gregory Smith, Charlotte Sullivan, Enuka Okuma and Travis Milne.
• Missy Peregrym stars as Andy McNally, the protagonist of the show. She is always tending to do the right thing even if that means breaking some procedures.
• Gregory Smith stars as Dov Epstein who usually finds himself involved in situations not necessary for him to mingle. Most of the times, he gets in trouble for his attitude.
• Charlotte Sullivan stars as Gail Peck who is seen by others as someone who usually gets the special treatment because she has connections with high ranking people in the police department.
• Enuka Okuma stars as Traci Nash who is a single mom balancing her personal life with her professional life. She has to deal with everyday problems with her family and work. A mother to her only son, she wants to be the best for her son but work usually gets in the way.

Rookie Blue is back with the season 3, and is scheduled to air on 24th May on ABC. And, it’s premiering with the episode, “The First Day of the Rest of Your Life.” All the romance and drama are back with the Rookie, and hope that they won’t disappoint us.
Well, even though, we could see some promotional photos and spoilers, we couldn’t witness any video of the season three still. However, the released promo seems to be of more convincing types, and there appears to be a reason for looking forward to watching, which is to be telecasted as this month is almost ending. Since the last two summers, we could see a lot of impressive procedural drama with regards to rookie cops as well as their training officers. Will they be able to impress us in this season as well? But, it seems certain that it is going to be an action-packed season overall from the promos, which is sure to attract audiences.
The season 3 premiere episode shows Andy conversing with Sam that Andy has learnt a lesson, i.e., the hard way, and his kissing experience as well. Hence, Andy is not alone in getting romantic moments in the future episodes; Gail too joins the list. Hope that this is certainly better than the previous season love triangle involving Dov, Chris and Gail, which was disastrous, indeed.
Moreover, mistakes are bound to happen with the Rookies. This time, there is a situation to watch, where a cop ends up at the side of the gun; of course, the wrong side! Even Chris is seen as telling someone not to be alarmed, as they are trained professionals. It seems they have managed to get a greater amount of confidence, as its already past two seasons. Is this going to haunt them in the future?
A car accident is supposed to be taking place in the first episode. The person responsible for this is none other than Henry, who is a drunk driver played by William Shatner. With police getting involved in the case, Henry isn’t happy at all. He seems to have hard feelings. It is very much evident when Henry takes a swing at Dov.
Finally, the promo ends with a scene, where Dov asks Traci, whether that just happened. Well, what did he exactly mean? Is it the punch, or car accident, or anything else? Well, a personal opinion is what matters.
